Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan directed that a policy should be developed for the maintenance of cities and villages in which sports grounds or stadiums are built. The source of budget allocation for maintenance of sports grounds and who will be responsible for it should be fixed. Regular maintenance of play grounds is essential to ensure availability of sports facilities for children and youth. Chief Minister Chouhan was holding a discussion with public representatives and officials about schemes related to public welfare and infrastructure building on Friday.
Eligible persons should not be deprived of public welfare schemes
Chief Minister Chouhan told to ensure that no eligible person is deprived of the public welfare schemes, including ration cards, disability assistance, Ayushman cards, pension schemes and Sambal Yojana of families living below the poverty line. If a case in this connection comes to Bhopal, it will be assumed that work at the district level is not going well. It is also necessary to see that no ineligible person is benefited from the scheme.
Create your own identity in the block and assembly constituency
Chief Minister Chouhan said that a five-year roadmap for development of villages should be developed and priorities should be set in a phased manner on the basis of budget availability. He said that if there are encroachments where construction works related to schools, health centres, anganwadis and public facilities are there, they should be removed immediately. Tap-water facility should be provided in every house in all villages. Chief Minister Chouhan said that development of important places is also necessary from the point of view of archeology and tourism. Along with the district, a separate identity should also be developed for the development block and assembly constituency.
Self-employment fair also held at block level
Chief Minister Chouhan stated the need to organize fairs at the development level including districts for employment and self-employment training to youths in the context of building Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh. He said that participation of self-help groups and their products should be demonstrated in such conferences. These activities help in identifying the interest and talent of the youth and in instilling leadership in them so that they get a definite direction.
In a discussion with public representatives of Sehore district, he sought information regarding the construction works released by the Urban Administration Department, development of Narmada ghats, beautification of Budhni, conversion of Van Gram to Rajasva Gram, missed forest rights pattas, expansion of tap water facilities and irrigation facilities, construction of flood-hit houses and vacant posts and gave necessary instructions.
Former Chairman of Forest Development Corporation Guruprasad Sharma, former chairman of Warehousing Corporation Rajendra Singh Rajput, Commissioner Bhopal Division Kavindra Kiyawat and other public representatives and officials were present.
