Kokrajhar, Assam: Kokrajhar police recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition from Chelekaguri area and Ultapani forest area in Kokrajhar.
Addressing Reporters at SP office Kokrajhar today, Special DGP and in-charge IGP of BTR LR Bishnoi said based on specific information regarding presence of arms and ammunitions at Chelekaguri and Ultapani forest area, Kokrajhar police led by Kokrajhar Superintendent of Police Prateek Thube and Additional SP Surjeet Singh Paneser carried out separate operations since the last two days and recovered cache of arms and ammunitions from two different places and recovered the arms and ammunitions from this morning. The arms and ammunitions were kept concealed underground.
The recovery includes 4 nos of AK 47 with magzine, One M-16 Rifle, 1 nos of Sniper Rifle with magzine, one Serily Rifle with magzine & Baynet and 130 rounds of AK series Ammunition.
He said the ammunitions belongs to former NLFB militants.
He said operation against anti-social elements is continuing and going on.
