Assam CM’s Panchayat poll rally in Darrang district hit school atmosphere

Mangaldai : Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Monday has lashed out at the leadership of one of its coalition partner of his government the AGP of maintaining a close link with the opposition Congress . Addressing a poll rally at village Deormornoi under Sipajhar LAC in Darrang district just hour before the deadline for closure  of  campaign of the first phase of the Panchayat polls scheduled on December 5 next . Charging AGP of maintaining a close connection with the Congress whom the regional party has been opposing since long , the Chief Minister said , “ Now the relation between AGP and Congress is such that reaction of a comment from BJP on AGP has been issued from the Rajiv Bhawan , Guwahati not from Ambari”. Earlier in the twenty three minutes long speech the Chief Minister lashes out at Congress of practicing deep rooted corruption  in the public fund in the Panchayati Raj system during its tenure of power thereby preventing the development process of the rural Assam . He appealed to the voters to bring the saffron party into power in the grass root Panchayat level and ensure a corrupt free , value based Panchayat Raj system by its party candidates in future . The rally was also addressed by MP , Mangaldai Lok Sabha Ramen Deka and Sipajhar Legislator Binanda Kr Saikia among other party leaders . Prior to his address  the Chief Minister arrived at the venue in a copter flying right from Golaghat  Meanwhile the election rally organized by the Pathorighat Mandal of BJP in the field of Deomornoi Higher Secondary School closed to the school boundary compelled the school authority to stop the ongoing teaching in the classes and allowed the students to go home well before the normal school time schedule .
