Assam flood situation improves; affected districts reduces to 22

In Assam, the flood situation is further improved today as the number of affected districts reduced to 22. Yesterday 25 districts were submerged in flood.

Official sources said that 24 lakh people are still affected in the third wave of floods in the state. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has undertaken a 4 days visit to assess the flood situation in Upper Assam districts including Majuli. Mr. Sonowal will meet flood affected people and also hold meetings with the administration.
