Assam government fixes rates for treatment of KOVID-19 in private hospitals

GUWAHATI : Assam government fixes rates for treatment of corona virus (COVID-19) epidemic in private hospitals in the state. Meanwhile, in view of the shortage of vaccine vaccine in the state, immunization of first dose has been postponed. Based on the notification issued here, the State Government has fixed the rates of treatment of Covid-19 epidemic based on the nature of private hospitals and the facility provided therein. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the second massive wave of corona virus has created a fierce in India from the city to the village.

 This wave has destroyed the medical sector available in India. The difficult conditions of recent times have opened up the poles of medical disorders in the country. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the second powerful corona wave in the country in 2021 is making the youth the worst victims, with corona experts anticipating the third wave of the virus predicting that it will make children more vulnerable. He said the Assam government is constantly preparing the system to prepare for such a situation. He said an ICU has been set up immediately to make children more vulnerable fearing the third wave of corona in Assam. Assam Health Minister Keshab Mahanta said, the decision has been taken in view of complaints of arbitrary charges being charged by some hospitals in the name of treatment of corona. He said that a daily fee of Rs 5,000 has been fixed for general ward in the highly specialized hospital, Rs 6,500 for the common cabin, Rs 10,000 for icu without ventilator and Rs 15,000 for icu ventilator.

 In view of the decline in the existing stock of vaccine in the state, it has been decided to give firsthand to patients who have been vaccinated for the second dose. The Health Minister said that the first dose of vaccine vaccine will be re-vaccinated once the vaccine supply is smooth. He said that at present the supply of vaccine is low and thefirst dose vaccination is being postponed. All private hospitals should immediately accept patients as per admission protocol and emphasis should be laid on patient care. The rates fixed by the Government will come into force with immediate effect and will continue till further orders. On the directions of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Health Minister Keshab Mahanta said that it has also been decided to set up ICU for children’s wards in seven medical college hospitals and district hospitals in the state. He said 320 ICU beds in medical colleges and 250 such beds in district hospitals will be installed within a month.
