Assam Secretariat staff urged to serve the people of the state with hard work and punctuality

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has congratulated the officials and employees of the Assam Secretariat on the second day of the New Year. Thanking the employees, he said the Assam Secretariat is the heart of the administrative system of the state government. As a result, if a work culture environment is created in the Secretariat, it will be expanded across the state. Giving a bunch of suggestions to the officers and employees in this regard, he said that the Assam Secretariat will be renovated in 2023.

On Monday, a function was organised at the chief minister’s auditorium to congratulate the dedicated hardworking employees at the Assam Secretariat, the centre of the state administration in Dispur. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma felicitated a total of 41 dedicated employees with smarak medals on the occasion. Besides, a total of 471 people of the Assam Secretariat have been identified as punctual employees. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the Assam government has achieved visible success in the fields of development, development, law and order etc.

In 2022. Everyone as a whole has a role to play in this success. Whatever the government dreams of for the overall development of the state is fulfilled through government officials and employees. Success can be seen in a state where employees are engaged in their work in a just manner. As a result, the employees will have to be present in the office on time as well as continue their work with work activities, he said.Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that in the 75 years of Independence, Assam has faced additional problems compared to other states due to various reasons like geographical location, floods, law and order situation etc. As a result, Assam had to face these difficulties in competition with other states. Urging the employees to be sincere in this regard, he said that the work of the office file should be completed on time.

This will lead to the development of the state. If government work is not completed on time, it has a negative impact on the entire state. He also mentioned that people will have to face the curse if they roam around in connection with the file. The chief minister said not only the employees but also the officials have to be on the lookout. He advised to hold discussions or meetings with employees at least once a month. Besides, the Chief Minister has also directed to ensure that the employees of the Assam Secretariat get all kinds of facilities. He favoured starting a co-operative society or a market at the Assam Secretariat, if required.Urging government employees for the New Year, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said everyone needs to be punctual.

 That is, employees have to be present in the office on time. Along with this, you also have to keep an eye on the dress. He also made it clear that he should not wear casual or unexpected clothes. On the other hand, the Chief Minister thanked the Chief Secretary for organizing the event, stating that one theatre has been set up in each block of the Assam Secretariat as well as the entire Secretariat has been renovated. Ministers Ranjit Kumar Das, Jayanta Malla Barua, U Brahma and Nandita Girlsa were present on the occasion.
