Automotive Skills Development Council signs MoU with Magic Billion

New Delhi: Automotive Skill Development Council (ASDC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Magic Billion to explore possible future opportunities to impart genuine and specialized overseas opportunities to respective candidates in automotive sector. The MoU was signed in the presence of Mr. Arindam Lahiri, CEO, ASDC and Mr. Basab Banerjee, Co-Founder and President of Magic Billion. 

The MoU is a part ASDC and Magic Billion’s vision of resolving and managing the demand-supply gap of skilled workers from India to global employers in different markets, bringing the Magic of a Billion Indians to the World!  This MoU will focus on skill enhancement of the manpower in automotive sector thereby, improving employability as per industry’s future requirement.

Mr. Nikunj Sanghi, Chairman ASDC said, “We are pleased to collaborate with Magic Billion for this project, which is part of our shared vision of building a sustainable skilling ecosystem in the automotive industry. Right now, all the new-age vehicles are more technologically advanced, connected and smart, which calls for an entirely new set of skills and knowledge to drive the industry growth and its complete value-chain. Through this collaboration with Magic Billion, we aim to contribute, positively to build India’s competitiveness by enhancing employability within India as well as in other countries.”

Mr. Basab Banerjee, Co-Founder and President of Magic Billion said, “ASDC has been instrumental in supporting Magic Billion in this pilot project with our clients in Germany. Our association with ASDC has assisted in sourcing right talent pool for mechanical, automotive and electrical roles from different parts of the country. At present, we have six students in a batch of 15 who have come through our partnership with ASDC.  The project also involves technical training to candidates as per German standards that will be designed, developed and implemented by ASDC and its training partners.”

Initially, both ASDC and Magic Billion will focus on bridging the supply gap of skilled workers from India to the world and thereby helping them in fulfilment of manpower requirement in their respective organizations by sourcing and upskilling talent from India. 

ASDC has been at the forefront in creating the right set of talent pool for the automotive sector and this is a distinctive MoU with Magic Billion. Over the past few months ASDC has signed multiple agreements with leading institutes and organizations such as Google, MG Motors, Autobot India, SpeakIN, pManifold to develop skilled and highly competent futuristic workforce.
