Bangaluru: The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike has issued show cause notice against seven private Covid hospitals which have failed to comply with the Government direction to reserve 50 percent of their beds for municipal corporation sponsored Covid patients. The notice was issued under Karnataka Private Medical Establishment Act, KPME Act for the suspension of the licenses. The notice says that if no proper explanation is received along with the compliance of reserving the 50 percent beds, the Municipal Corporation will be constrained to close down the OPDs initially and then close down the hospital after shifting the patients to other hospitals.
