BHIS student bring accolade to the school by winning national competition

Mumbai: Dhrish Shah, a 6-year-old grade 1 student from Billabong High International School (BHIS) Malad, bagged first place at the LogiQids Logical Reasoning Olympiad 2020-21. The result was announced on Dec 30th 2020; however, the student received the certificate in January. Thanks to BHIS’s neuroscience curriculum that is preparing students for success in the 21st century.

Dhrish participated in an online test where he went on to surpass 6620 contenders across the country of the same grade to secure No. 1 position in the competition. He successfully attempted multiple choice questions on analytical reasoning and quantitative aptitude within the required time slot.

Elated with his success, Dhrish Shah’s mother Sonali, said, “It is an honour for Dhrish to represent BHIS on this national platform. This win only motivates my son to further build on his strengths and participate in more such competitions. We are privileged to have found the right mentors and a school that always encouraged our son to pursue his passion. All this was possible due to the continuous efforts and the time that the school teachers have invested in him and the confidence they have shown in Dhrish.”

Commenting on Drish’s achievement, Dr Madhu Singh, principal BHIS Malad, said, “Dhrish has done a commendable job by representing our school at the national level and winning this championship at this age. He is an extremely bright student and has a flair for solving difficult reasoning-based questions! Our school has always supported him to nurture his talent and provide him with the necessary encouragement to enter and excel in all competitions that bring out his innate potential.”

In past achievements, Drish had topped the school & won 2nd rank at National finals of Marrs Play to Learn Carnival 2017 – 2018 in nursery grade. This was again a national level competitive exam based on multiple rounds like an oral exam, memory skills, fine art, and storytelling! He also secured the GLOBAL RANK 1 in Mathlathon competition (October 2019 challenge), scoring a perfect 100/100.
