Bihar reported 1,385 new COVID-19 positive cases during the last 24 hours, taking the total number of coronavirus cases in the state to 21,558. Altogether, 14,101 people have recovered from the infection so far. 7,289 patients are under treatment in various hospitals across the state. 180 people have lost their lives in the state due to Coronavirus so far.
In view of a rapid spurt in cases, Railways has decided to deploy a total of three hundred isolation coaches at 15 stations in the state including Patna, Muzaffarpur,Darbhanga and Sitamarhi.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has instructed the health department to test at least 20 thousand samples for COVID-19 per day. Over three lakh 47 thousand tests have been conducted in different parts of the state so far.
