Guwahati : As part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ REC Limited, a public infrastructure finance company under the Ministry of Power organized a ‘Bijli Utsav’ at Kuyadol village (CC 283593), Mayong, Dist-Marigaon, Assam on 31.03.2022. Khogen Chandra Das, (Executive Member inaugurated the event in the presence of other dignitaries and officers from REC and Villagers of Kuyadol.
The event witnessed speaker sessions by dignitaries and esteemed guests highlighting the benefits of electricity, the challenges faced during electrification in remote areas and how the quality of life improves with access to power. Beneficiaries from the villages also invited on-stage to share their experience and views on how electricity has transformed their lives. To engage with the villagers and children, various competitions and cultural programs such as Dance, Recitation, Quiz on various Government programmes, awareness about usage of electricity, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Covid safety protocols and Lok Gayan were conducted.
