During this, Amit Shah fiercely attacked the opposition. Apart from the Congress and the Left, the Tipra Motha Party led by Tripura’s royal descendant Pradyot Manikya Debbarma was also targeted by the Union Home Minister. These two parties ruled Tripura for 50 years, yet it did not develop. Amit Shah said that voting for the Left means re-establishing the rule of violence in Tripura. Shah also claimed that the Narendra Modi government at the Centre has ensured the development of the Northeast by putting an end to years of neglect. “In the last five years, two Chief Ministers of the Bharatiya Janata Party have ensured the security of Tripura, which was earlier suffering from infiltration and insurgency from across the border. “The BJP has tried to create the rule of the Constitution by abolishing the cadre state in the state. We have ended the tolabaazi culture. Bjp has moved forward in the direction of making Tripura a developed state through highways, internet, railways and airports. “The entire North East used to fight bomb blasts by militant outfits earlier, but today they are replaced by railways and airplanes.
