Kajalgaon : The chief of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Hagrama Mohilary today inaugurated the newly constructed Bodoland Guest House at Kajalgaon in Chirang district.
The G+1 Guest House built at an estimate cost of 1.5 crore rupees by PWD, BTC, has six rooms including two VIP suits for BTC Chief and Deputy Chief, one conference hall and a dining room.
Inaugurating the guest house, the BTC chief said the guest house will not only meet the long felt needs of accommodation in the district headquarter but also serve as happening place for attracting tourists and such other visitors and can have accommodation for night stay and meetings of government, he said.
He said and hoped the new House will meet basic need of visitors to district to a great extent. The BTC Chief dedicated this Bodoland Guest House to the people of Chirang district.
During the interaction with media after the formal opening function, the Chief of BTC informed that his Government is coming up with more such Guest houses in district and Sub-divisional level of BTC area
BTC Deputy Chief Kampa Borgoyari, BTC Principal Secretary Biren Chandra Phukan, Addl. Principal Secretary Rabinson Mochahary, Secretary Carol Narzary, Jt. Secretary Subhalakhsmi Deka, BTC former speaker Paniram Brahma and Ex- EM James Basumatary also attended the function.
