Book on writer Chandrabala Devi released.

SIPAJHAR : A book titled “ Chandrabala Devi-Atma Katha aru Anyanya” on the life and works of Chandrabala Devi , a writer, a retired award recipient teacher , a literary organizer and a resident of Balipara , Sipajhar in Darrang district was released on January 30 . In this connection a public function was organized by the family members of Chandrabala Devi at the greenery atmosphere of ‘Florica Nursery’ , Balipara where Dr Charu Saharia Nath , president of Sadou Asom Lekhika Samaroh Samiti and an associate professor of Tezpur college released the book in presence of several prominent personalities of the state including Parvati Prasad Baruah award recipient veteran litterateur professor Idris Ali , former president of Asom Sahitya Sabha and Sipajhar MLA, Dr Paramananda Rajbongshi , prominent academician Dr Chadraprabha Bhuya , Sachidhar Nath , former Sipajhar MLA Binanda Kumar Saikia , Dr Amarendra Narayan Dev, Circle Officer of Sipajhar Kamaljit Sarma , Chandrabala Devi herself and others .

The speakers in their address hailed the efforts of the family and the people associated for publishing the book within the lifetime of Chandrabala Devi to let the younger generation know about this lady pioneer in the field of woman education and literature apart from shouldering the family responsibilities successfully since a very young age . They hoped that the book would add a new page to the literary and social history of Sipajhar and also help the local new generations inspired seeing Chandrabala Devi of their own eyes and take her guidance for future. Speaking on the occasion Chandrabala Devi expresed her thanks and gratitude to all the people including the editorial committee of the book with Dr Ram Chandra Deka as the president , Dr Prasanna Kumar Nath as the principal secretary , writers, designers , printers and publishers for their contribution in making the full volume book published well within a time frame. She also recalled the support and inspiration of her late teacher husband Bharat Chandra Nath to carry forward her literary and professional journey . Earlier her elder son Akshay Kumar Nath delivered the welcome address while her younger son Hiranya Kumar Nath offered vote of thanks .
