Guwahati: The Union Home Minister urged both the States of Assam and Mizoram to end the boundary dispute by negotiating a mutual agreement. But the Mizoram government is invalidating the direction of the Union Home Ministry. Assam is again on fire on mizoram border. The central government intervened due to recent tension between The North Eastern State of Assam and Mizoram in India. Several people were injured in the border dispute and violence between the two states.

The situation is currently out of control as the Mizoram government is invalidating the direction of the Union Home Ministry. Now, at the same time, there is often a tension on the border between the north-eastern states. Meanwhile, prices on essential commodities are rising in Assam and the North East. Onion and potato are sold at Rs 90-100 per kilo in various markets in the village and city city of Mizuram.

In fact, the prices of all commodities, including various brands of mustard oil, have been hiked. Thus, consumers in the state are guessing higher prices than ever before as national highways 306 are standing on hundreds for four days to supply trucks carrying essential commodities. A week after the alleged success in the Assam-Mizoram border standoff, the barriers have again emerged in the last two days. Local people on the border of Assam have stopped the vehicles from going to Mizoram.

They demand that Mizoram withdraw the forces deployed in their territory. Due to this, hundreds of trucks supplying essential commodities have been erected on national High Road 306 for four days. This nh is called the lifeline of the state. Last week, Mizoram had promised that it would remove armed forces from Laalpur in its border area of Assam but Assam officials say Mizoram has not done so so far. According to official sources, in view of the dispute, the Union Home Secretary held a meeting with the chief secretaries of both the States-Assam and Mizoram on Thursday (October 29) to resolve and reduce tension on the border. S. Beach, a senior Assam police official, GP Singh said the recent bomb blast at a school in Lalapur near the Assam-Mizoram border may be an attempt to terrorize locals. Assam Police will request to hand over the investigation of the incident to a central agency.

GP Singh said, “There was an explosion at a school. I had a discussion with the superintendent of police of Kolashib district. We have seen additional police post set up by Mizoram. It appears the bombing may have been an attempt to terrorize locals. “The investigation has revealed that the people who detonated may belong to Mizoram,” Singh said.
