CBI Conducts Searches At Various Locations Including In Kolkata In Connection With TMC Leader Mahua Moitra Cash For Query Case

Kolkata: The Central Bureau of Investigation CBI is conducting searches at various locations including in Kolkata in connection with TMC leader Mahua Moitra cash for query case. Sources said the CBI is also conducting searches at the premises of Moitra in Kolkata and other cities.

The CBI had registered an FIR against the former TMC MP on the directives of the Lokpal, which has instructed the agency to file a report within six months.

Mahua Moitra was expelled from the Lok Sabha in December last year after an ethics panel of the Parliament recommended her removal after she was accused of taking bribes from a businessman in exchange for asking questions in Parliament.
