CM Chouhan reviews Corona situation

Bhopal: Chief Minister  Shivraj Singh Chouhan issued instructions to the Health Department to educate and inform the public on the after effects of Corona after its study. Chief Minister  Chouhan gave these instructions in the review meeting held today in Mantralaya regarding the situation of Corona in the state. Chief Minister  Chouhan said that the Health Department should take initiative in consultation with experts from other medical institutions. Chief Minister  Chouhan said that when the report of a patient who is Corona positive comes negative then he should have information with regard to taking necessary precautions related to food and health care on scientific basis due to various misconceptions.

Decline in new cases

As many 1497 cases recovered in the state on December 8. The number of new cases is 1,345. This is declining. It was informed in the meeting that there has been a decline in the number of Corona patients in almost all the districts of the state. The positivity rate which was 5.4 till a few days ago is now 4.5. Similarly, growth rate has also declined. The average rate of positive patients per day this week is 500, compared to 570 in the previous week. Use of beds in hospitals has also reduced.

Madhya Pradesh was ahead in Corona treatment and control, now it should become a model in mass education

Chief Minister  Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh government made all arrangements promptly when Corona started spreading its tentacles from the last week of March. Madhya Pradesh was way ahead in controlling this virus and providing better treatment to patients. Now Madhya Pradesh can also become a model in the field of health education. Currently many people are concerned about the side effects of Corona. Chief Minister  Chouhan said that the Health Department can educate the public through a campaign. He said that after careful study on how patients with diabetes or other diseases should take care on becoming Corona positive, what precautions regarding food intake should be followed by patients who have been discharged and whether the recovered patients are affected by any mental problem, necessary information should be shared with general public. Additional Chief Secretary Health  Mohammad Suleman informed that an after care ward has been prepared in AIIMS. Nearly two lakh citizens in the state have recovered from Corona.

Review of various districts

Chief Minister  Chouhan reviewed Sagar, Ratlam, Shivpuri etc. apart from Bhopal, Indore separately and sought information about the efforts being made for treatment and care of patients. Chief Minister  Chouhan directed to conduct health awareness campaign in Dindori and other tribal areas also. He directed various departments to increase their efforts to resolve the problem of malnutrition. Chief Minister  Chouhan said that all the officers in charge should regularly check the status of Corona in their districts. There should be no dearth of beds, oxygen etc. for the patients, this must be ensured. He told to stay in constant touch with the Health Department team every day.

Good results of Roko-Toko abhiyan

Commissioner Gwalior informed that citizens have been motivated to use masks. People have been advised through the Roko-Toko Abhiyan. Around 2 lakh stickers have been distributed. People were advised to practice yoga and take steam. Along with this, students were made to write essays on health awareness. The results of the campaign have been good.

Chief Secretary  Iqbal Singh Bains was also present in the meeting.
