Haflong : People of Dima Hasao expressed serious concern over the National High Way Authority of India for 
indifferent attitude in regards to the completion of National High way passing through Dima Hasao.
People of Dima Hasao in particular and of entire Barak Valley have been suffering a lot as the potion from Jatinga to Harangjao of the NH 54 E left uncared for long ten to fifteen years.
Some people also alleged that there has been a nexus between Project Manager of NHAI, consultant and the contractors to siphon off a good amount of fund in the name of repair and maintenance of the said portion.
People further said there is an office of Project manager, NHAI at Haflong which remains non-functional and officials who remain in the office are always reluctant to inform anything in regards to construction or any other matters.
