CoRover’s BharatGPT Models Listed on IndiaAI’s AIKosh Platform Following MeitY Review
India : CoRover.ai, India’s leading conversational agentic AI company, today announced that the BharatGPT models developed by CoRover are now available on AIKosh, the National AI Datasets and Models Platform established under the IndiaAI Mission of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.
The listing follows a rigorous review, testing and approval process conducted by the IndiaAI and MeitY teams. The development was also announced by IndiaAI on its official social media platforms, including LinkedIn and X.
The development underscores CoRover’s philosophy of Walking the Talk – not just talking about Sovereign AI, but delivering full-stack Sovereign AI at scale. CoRover holds the trademark for “Sovereign AI”, a term coined by its Founder and CEO, Ankush Sabharwal, for the first time in the world. The full-stack approach spans foundational models, a secure enterprise platform, and AI agents, aimed at enhancing ease of living for citizens and ease of doing business for enterprises and government organizations.
In addition to its models on AIKosh, CoRover is also building the Sovereign Agentic AI Framework for Government of India, enabling secure, compliant, and interoperable deployment of agentic AI across government departments and citizen services.
Three Models Now Available on AIKosh:
1. BharatGPT Mini: A compact foundational language model with 538 million parameters, trained from scratch by CoRover. Supports Indic languages and is optimized for efficient deployment across on-premises, cloud, edge, and hybrid environments. Its performance beats models that are more than 15X larger in parameters.
2. BharatGPT Instruct: Built on a Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) architecture, an instruction-tuned multilingual model optimized for text generation, coding, and reasoning. Designed for conversational alignment and enterprise-grade task execution across Indic and global languages.
3. ASR Hindi Conformer: An Automatic Speech Recognition model that converts spoken Hindi into text. Evaluated on the Hindi test set of AI4Bharat / Lahaja, it delivered best-in-class results with a WER of 24.72% and CER of 21.78%, competitive with large-scale systems like AI4Bharat Indic Conformer 600M Multilingual, while optimized for real-time inference.
