MUMBAI: CzechTourism has expanded its engagement with the Indian travel trade by hosting dedicated workshops in Hyderabad and Surat, reinforcing its com

mitment to strengthening partnerships in both established and emerging outbound travel markets.
The workshops followed CzechTourism’s participation at the MICE India & Luxury Travel Congress (MILT) 2026 in Goa, where the tourism board interacted with corporate travel planners, MICE buyers and luxury travel specialists. Building on these discussions, the regional sessions provided an opportunity to deepen relationships with travel professionals and explore opportunities across leisure, premium travel, incentive tourism and business events.

More than 30 travel trade partners attended the workshops, where CzechTourism showcased the country’s diverse tourism offerings beyond Prague. Participants were introduced to Czechia’s historic towns, castles, wellness retreats, gastronomy, wine regions, scenic landscapes and distinctive venues for meetings and incentive programmes. The sessions also highlighted Prague’s established position as a leading MICE destination, alongside Brno’s growing appeal for business events.

Representatives from The Julius Prague also participated, presenting the hotel’s premium accommodation and hospitality offerings, enabling travel advisors to better understand luxury stay options for leisure and group itineraries.

Speaking on the initiative, Barbara Andelova, Head of Marketing – Middle East and India, CzechTourism, said Hyderabad and Surat represent important emerging markets with distinct traveller profiles and preferences. Addressing to our Newsman Sachin Murdeshwar during the event, She noted that direct engagement with local travel partners enables CzechTourism to better understand these nuances and promote Czechia in a way that resonates with Indian travellers.

Through these focused trade initiatives, CzechTourism aims to enhance destination awareness and encourage Indian travel partners to design itineraries that extend beyond Prague, incorporating regions such as South Moravia, Karlovy Vary and South Bohemia, while showcasing the country’s lesser-explored destinations to Indian visitors.
