Dabur’s Chyawanprash to be made in Pithampur

Bhopal:  The representatives of Dabur India met Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and appreciated the Devarnya Yojana of the state. Mohit Malhotra, Chief Executive Officer, Dabur India said that the Devaranya scheme is useful for units manufacturing ayurvedic and personal care products and is meaningful for income generation at the local level. In view of the positive environment and facilities for industrial investment in the state, Dabur is keen to invest in Madhya Pradesh as compared to other states. There is a plan to invest 570 crores on 19.62 hectares in Pithampur of Dhar, which will provide employment to more than 1200 people. Food item Chyawanprash besides other Ayurvedic products, personal care products will be made in the unit established here. The total production capacity of the unit will be about 75 thousand metric tonnes per annum. It is noteworthy that Dabur India is the world’s largest Ayurvedic and natural health care company which is 136 years old. Its turnover is about 8 thousand 700 crores.

It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has implemented Devaranya Yojana to encourage the cultivation of medicinal plants in rural areas on the basis of knowledge related to AYUSH of the tribal people.

Ethanol production proposal submitted

Directors of Wakemet India Limited, Shri Mayank Agarwal and Rahul Agarwal met Chief Minister Shri Chouhan. He discussed the Rs 900 crore investment plan for BOPT/BOPP film production. This will provide employment to about 800 people. In this sequence, Shri Pradeep Agarwal and Vikas Mittal of Mahakaushal Distillery Pvt Ltd presented proposals for ethanol production.
