Delhi government approves doorstep delivery ration

Delhi government today approved a scheme for door step delivery of ration in the state. Under the Mukhyamantri Ghar Ghar Ration Yojna, poor and needy in the national capital will be delivered packets of wheat flour at their doorstep.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a virtual press conference described this move as revolutionary and said that this scheme will be optional. He said, those who want to buy ration from Fixed Price Shops can opt out of this scheme. Mr Kejriwal said the scheme is expected to be operational in the next 6 to 7 months.  He informed that Centre’s scheme of one nation one ration card will get implemented in the national capital the day Mukhyamantri Ghar Ghar Ration Yojna comes into effect
