BANGALORE — DePuy Synthes, a global leader in orthopaedics, today announced plans to establish a new Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bangalore, India. The centre will serve as a global engine for innovation, engineering, and enterprise services.
The GCC will bring together technology, data, and business capabilities to advance clinical innovation and operational excellence for patients, surgeons, and healthcare partners around the world.
DePuy Synthes is working to establish the centre which will host disciplines including software development, data & AI, enterprise applications, technology services, cybersecurity and more upon launch.

Over the next 18–24 months, DePuy Synthes expects to build a team of approximately 500 professionals in Bangalore, with room to grow as the centre matures. The centre will be led by Nicholas Parrotta, Chief Information Officer, DePuy Synthes, with support from experienced technology leaders who will support the planning, establishment and future operations of the centre, including:
• Dr. Jai Ganesh, Chief Technology Officer, DePuy Synthes will provide leadership for technology engineering, architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity engineering, and digital platforms for DePuy Synthes.
• Nagaraj Bhat, GCC Leader, DePuy Synthes, will assist in the establishment of local operations and its leadership team.
The centre is expected to be established in phases, with initial operational activities, including recruitment beginning in August 2026.
