CII Southern Region Foodpro 2026 Opens in Chennai, Showcasing Innovations Across the Food Processing Value Chain
Chennai : The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Southern Region today opened the 16th edition of Foodpro 2026, India’s premier exhibition and conference focused on food processing, packaging and food technologies, at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai. Being held from 7–9 August 2026, the three-day event brings together technology providers, food processors, manufacturers, policymakers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders to explore innovations and emerging opportunities across the food processing value chain.
With 250+ exhibitors, over 8,000 sq. m. of display area and more than 25,000 business and trade visitors, Foodpro 2026 provides a comprehensive platform for businesses to discover new technologies, forge partnerships, explore investment opportunities and identify solutions for enhancing productivity, quality, safety and sustainability. The exhibition features domestic and international participation, sectoral conferences, B2B/B2G/B2C meetings, live demonstrations and product launches
Speaking on the occasion, Mr B Thiagarajan, Chairman, CII Foodpro 2026 and Managing Director, Blue Star India said, “India’s food processing sector is at an important inflection point, driven by technological advancement, changing consumer preferences, the need for greater value addition and the growing focus on food safety and sustainability.
