New Delhi: Gross direct tax collections witnessed a robust growth in this financial year with the collection of 12.37 lakh crore rupees so far. The collection is 17.59 percent higher than the corresponding period of last financial year. As per the provisional figures of direct tax collection till 9th of November, personal income tax collection registered growth of 31.77 percent while corporate income tax collection is at 12.48 percent. According to the finance ministry, tax refunds of 1.77 lakh crore rupees has been issued so far.
