Thiruvananthapuram: The Central Election Commission team which is currently here in Thiruvananthapuram to assess the pre-election preparations in the state will have discussions with various enforcement agencies at noon today.
This will be followed by interactions with the State’s Chief Secretary and other senior officials. Further s will be communicated through a press conference today evening. Yesterday the central team had a series of discussions with various senior government officials, political party representatives and District Collectors. The LDF, UDF had requested the Central Election Commission to conduct the polls before the second week of April.
However, the BJP has opined that the polls be conducted only during May. The central team headed by Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora will leave for Delhi tomorrow
