Rahul Gandhi in Assam, challenges Modi on CAA

Guwahati: The Assam Congress has launched an election campaign to ‘save Assam’ across the state with an aim to evict the BJP from power. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today launched the party’s election campaign for the assembly elections in Assam. Rahul Gandhi launches party’s election campaign from Shivnagar boarding field in Shivsagar district. During his address, he complimented former CM of Assam and late Congress leader Tarun Gogoi. Addressing a public meeting, Rahul Gandhi said that illegal immigration is an issue, but the people of Assam have the capacity to resolve the issue. But you are the flower of the bouquet of India.  If Assam is harmed, the country will suffer.  Rahul Gandhi said that whatever may happen, the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) will never happen, we will never hear two of our two governments.

Rahul Gandhi said that we two of our two others die.  We have two, our two, and our two… Who are running Assam.  Go to Assam, fire, and loot whatever is in Assam.  Those who try to spread hatred here will teach the people and the Congress a lesson together. In Assam, the Congress has promised to increase their wages on Sunday in an attempt to woo tea workers. Addressing a rally at Sivasagar in the state, party leader Rahul Gandhi said, if the Congress is voted in power, the wages will be increased from Rs 167 to Rs 365. “What can you buy with Rs 167? I want to say to the tea workers that we have to raise your wages to Rs. The increase in wages is a long-standing demand for tea workers.

Rahul Gandhi said, Congress is a party of weak people, small traders, labourers.  When we come to power, there will be one thing… The hatred that is being spread will end. We will protect all religions and people of caste. India had a rapid economic growth from 2004 to 2014. We lifted millions of people out of poverty. The youngsters will wipe out the nervousness of all of us. Will eliminate unemployment in Assam. Addressing a public meeting, Rahul Gandhi said that remote television can run but Assam cannot run. Your Chief Minister should be from Assam. Your Chief Minister should work for Assam. Today’s chief minister, Delhi, is at the behest of Gujarat. That is why we have to remove this Government. Under the ‘ Save the Assam ‘ campaign, Congress party leaders, activists will go to all volunteers, NGOs, civil society groups of the state and interact with them. He will also take all these views on the party’s manifesto for the forthcoming assembly elections. has been scheduled in April-May this year.

The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee has planned to hold three other rallies of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi in Barak Valley, North Assam and lower Assam within this month.
