Election Commission to review preparedness for Assembly elections on 3-day visit to UP tomorrow

New Delhi: The full Election Commission led by Chief Election Commissioner Shri Sushil Chandra will be a three-day visit to Uttar Prdesh tomorrow. The team will review the preparedness and arrangements for the upcoming Assembly elections in the state. After arrival in Lucknow tommoroow, the Election Commission will interact with the reprsentatives of various political parties.

On Wednesday, a complete review meeting will be held with the DGPs, the state Home Ministry officials, and Expenditure officials. There are 403 seats in UP state Assembly. The term of the current Assembly elected in 2017 will expire on 14th May 2022.
