Bengaluru : EuroSchool HSR, part of EuroSchool, one of India’s leading K–12 school networks, has been honoured with the Mother Teresa Memorial Award for Excellence in Humanitarian Services for its commitment to holistic education and student-led community impact. The recognition acknowledges the school’s collaboration with the Indian Development Foundation (IDF), through which students have participated in initiatives promoting education, dignity, empathy, and social responsibility while creating meaningful change in underserved communities.
During the academic year 2025–26, the EuroSchool HSR community comprising students, parents, and educators collectively raised over ₹4 lakh towards Aashayein, Project Dignity, and Cover of Compassion, supporting causes focused on education, menstrual health, and elderly care. These efforts provided students with opportunities to engage with real-world social challenges, fostering inclusivity, civic engagement, and social awareness
As part of Aashayein, EuroSchool HSR students visited YAS National High School, Subramanyapura, where they personally distributed 210 educational kits containing school bags, notebooks, stationery, geometry boxes, and water bottles to underprivileged students. Through Project Dignity, students helped distribute 115 menstrual hygiene kits, benefiting adolescent girls from economically weaker sections, including a total of 4,600 sanitary pads aimed at promoting menstrual health awareness and dignity. The school’s third initiative, Cover of Compassion, which will support senior citizens residing in old-age homes through blanket distribution, is scheduled for September 2026.
Alongside the school’s recognition, Ms Kavitha Neelayath, Principal, EuroSchool HSR, was honoured by the Indian Development Foundation for her exemplary leadership in promoting community service and social responsibility within the school ecosystem.
The recognition reflects EuroSchool HSR’s broader vision of delivering holistic education that extends beyond academic excellence.
