Foundation of record no of Govt schemes laid on a single day in Assam’s Mangaldai town

Mangaldai : What can be considered as a day of significance as far as the development of internal road communication and scientific drainage system for Mangaldai town is concerned , Legislator of Assam’s Mangaldai Assembly Constituency , Gurujyoti Das in a single day of February 17 last laid the foundation of altogether seventeen projects out of the total of thirty one projects including roads , bridge and drainage works under fourteenth and fifteenth finance commission . Deputy Commissioner, Darrang Dilip Kumar Borah, Kamaljit Sarma ,Executive Officer , Mangaldai Municipal Board and Amulya Saharia, Assistant Engineer , Municipal Board were among the senior government officials who accompanied Legislator Das in his day long programme.

 Speaking on the occasion Legislator Das claimed that even though almost a year is lost due to COVID 19 induced situation nearly ninety five percent important roads which were not being developed for the last fifteen years have been taken up for construction during his tenure as the Legislator of Mangaldai constituency. He urged upon the local people to extend their necessary cooperation with some sacrifices on their part for timely completion of the works and better future of the township . It may well be mentioned here that with hardly a few days left for the Assembly election in the State , Legislators from the ruling BJP have made all out efforts to win the trust of the voters through intensified launching of developmental government schemes in their respective constituencies.
