In Gujarat, 1101 new cases of Covid-19 recorded yesterday. The recovery rate in the state has further improved to 75.48 per cent.
According to official sources, out of 1101 new cases recorded yesterday, the maximum 182 new cases reported from Surat. Ahmedabad city recorded 139 new cases during the last 24 hours. Total cases of Covid-19 in the state have gone up to 69986. Out of 14530 active cases in the state, the conditions of 82 patients are serious.
At the other end, 1135 patients have been discharged from various hospitals after recovery. With this, the total patients recovered from Covid19 till date have gone up to 52837. 23 patients have lost their lives yesterday, taking the total death due to Covid19 in the state up to 2629.
More than 9 lakh 56 thousand tests have been carried out in the state till date, out of which 26272 tests have been carried out yesterday.
Meanwhile, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has added 17 new areas in the Micro Containment Zone. Door to door surveillance and mass screening will be launched in the new areas from today.
