H.R. College Triumphs at Malhar’26: A Record-Breaking Sweep at St. Xavier’s Annual Cultural Festival
Some victories are measured in trophies. Others are defined by the passion, dedication, and teamwork behind them. For the Cultural Committee of H.R. College, Malhar’26 represented both.
After months of intense preparation, countless rehearsals, and a shared commitment to excellence, the H.R. College contingent clinched the coveted Overall 1st Podium at Malhar’26, St. Xavier’s College’s prestigious annual cultural festival. The journey—from elimination rounds on August 13th to finals on August 14th and 15th—culminated in a victory that will be cherished for years by everyone involved.
H.R. College’s achievements extended beyond the overall title. They dominated with Departmental Trophies in Performing Arts, Fine Arts, and Public Relations, and took top honors in PR events such as Malhar On Wheels and Yard Sale.
Across three electrifying days, H.R. College students excelled in diverse events, amassing multiple podium finishes. From the dynamic performances of Novacore and Ghost Beat, to the theatrical brilliance of Malhar: Multiverse of Madness, The Great Indian Nukkad, and Nyay Ya Nautaki, the contingent consistently stood out. Victories in Fine Arts events like No Caption Needed and Out of Tools, as well as Jam-Packed in Literary Arts, further showcased the college’s artistic prowess. Additional second podium finishes in Sound of Silence, The Final Frame, and Nachde Ne Saare reinforced their exceptional run.
Each success story was anchored by tireless preparation and unity. Months of effort—across participants, departments, and committee members—culminated in a shared triumph made even stronger by the unwavering support of alumni core members throughout the process.
Ultimately, the victory at Malhar’26 was a collective one. It belonged to every student who took the stage, every team that worked behind the scenes, and every supporter whose belief helped pave the way to the winner’s podium.
Reflecting on this historic achievement, Dr. Pooja Ramchandani shared, “As H.R. College stood on the Overall 1st Podium, it was more than the culmination of a competition. It was the celebration of a contingent that had worked, created, struggled, and grown together, and, in doing so, created a moment of pride that the college will carry with it for years to come.”
Established in 1960, H.R. College of Commerce & Economics, Mumbai, has built an outstanding reputation for excellence in commerce and business education. Originally founded in Hyderabad Sind in 1945 and re-established in Mumbai after Partition, the college now stands as a Lead and Constituent College of HSNC University, with a strong focus on academic rigor, holistic development, industry partnerships, and empowering future leaders.
