IN Rajasthan, Hearing is underway in the Rajasthan High Court on the petition of former Congress state president Sachin Pilot and 18 other rebel MLAs of Congress. Congress rebel MLAs have filed a petition seeking dismissal of the disqualification notices served to them.
The bench of Chief Justice Indrajit Mohanty is expected to conclude the hearing of the case by this evening. On Friday, the court was told by Speaker CP Joshi that he will not take any action in this matter till 5:30 pm today.
Senior advocate Harish Salve and Mukul Rohatgi are appearing on behalf of the petitioner MLAs. While, Senior advocates Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Devi Dutt Kamath are appearing on behalf of the speaker C.P. Joshi. Apart from this, Chief Whip Mahesh Joshi and ‘Public Against Corruption’ organization are also a party in this matter.
