Mumbai : Hearth on the First invites guests to experience a different side of its food and beverage programme as it welcomes Toronto’s Cry Baby Gallery for an exclusive cocktail guest shift. For one evening, the Mumbai restaurant will bring together its fire-led culinary philosophy and the creative energy of one of Canada’s acclaimed bars, creating an occasion centred on inventive drinks, good company and the art of the cocktail.
Known for pushing the boundaries of cocktail-making, Cry Baby Gallery approaches drinks as an extension of storytelling, pairing genre-bending creations with a distinctive sense of character. Guests at Hearth can look forward to experiencing the bar’s signature approach to cocktail culture, shaped by experimentation, thoughtful technique and a spirit of discovery.
Chefs Dhriti and Sabby, Co-Founders & Culinary Directors, Hearth, says, “At Hearth, we’re always looking at ways to bring new perspectives to the dining experience, whether through the food we cook or the people we bring into the space. Welcoming Cry Baby Gallery gives us an opportunity to introduce our guests to a different approach to cocktail-making, one that is experimental, expressive and rooted in a strong sense of craft. We’re looking forward to bringing this experience to Mumbai.”
Located on Toronto’s Dundas Street West, Cry Baby Gallery is a hybrid art gallery and speakeasy-style cocktail bar, where rotating local art exhibitions give way to a moody, industrial-style drinking space hidden behind a dark curtain. Co-owned and directed by Rob Granicolo, the bar has built a reputation for its inventive cocktails and selection of whisky, agave spirits and amari.
“Our approach to cocktails is about more than what’s in the glass; it’s about creativity, character and giving people something unexpected to discover. We’re excited to bring a little of Cry Baby Gallery’s spirit to Hearth on the First and share our approach to drinks with Mumbai’s cocktail community,” says Rob Granicolo, Co-owner and Director, Cry Baby Gallery.
Its standing in the international bar scene includes the sixth position on Canada’s Best Bars list in 2026 and No. 69 on the extended list of North America’s 50 Best Bars. The guest shift brings this distinctive approach to drinks to Hearth on the First for an evening that celebrates creativity behind the bar.
