GUWAHATI :In Assam, a jawan from Shahabad district of Haryana was killed when an army car fell into a ditch. His body is reaching his native Raimajra today where the martyr will be given a final farewell with state honours. The martyrdom of the village son has caused mourning. The unhappy family and villagers are now worried about the dilapidated cremation ground in the village and the big question is how the last rites of the jawan will take place. Gurjant is survived by his wife, two children and other members. As soon as they came to know about Gurjant’s death, the villagers started reaching the jawan’s house. The mortal remains were brought to Delhi last night. He was then sent to his village. According to family members, Gurjant had joined the army as a technician and was trained in Pune. At this time, Gurgent was posted as a soldier in the Army and controlled the JCB. Gurjant joined the Army in 2010-11. It may be recalled that Satnam Singh, brother of martyr Gurgent Singh, is also posted as havildar in the Army, while father Rulda Ram works hard.
