Mumbai: In Maharashtra, all the religious places in the state will be opened from 16th of November. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray who made an announcement in this regard asked people to be mindful of the Covid-19 pandemic. AIR correspondent reports that Mr. Thackeray attributed the decrease in caseload in the state to the discipline shown by the people.
The opening of religious places in the state will commensurate with ‘Deepawali Padwa’ on 16th of November. The Chief Minister said although the situation is under control in Maharashtra but still one cannot remain complacent. He said because of the discipline shown by the people in the state, the situation did not go out of control in Maharashtra as compared to other states.
Stating that wearing a face mask will be mandatory for the devotees while visiting religious places, he said it should also be ensured that there is no crowding at the places of worship. Besides, Mr. Thackeray said, even the Covid-19 protocols will have to be adhered to strictly.
