Guwahathi: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has become infected with corona virus. He has tweeted and informed about it. In a tweet, Chief Minister Biren Singh said, “I have become infected with Kovid-19. Whatever has come in my contact recently, I appeal to all of them to have self-isolate and test. In a Facebook post, Biren Singh wrote, “Friends, I was found infected with corona virus today after some symptoms. Whatever has come in contact with me in the last few days, I appeal to them to conduct a test. I feel right at this time.
In a video message to the people of Manipur on the occasion of Diwali and Ningol Chakuba 2020 on Saturday, Chief Minister N Biren appealed to all to practice the mass movement for proper behaviour of covid. This is through joint efforts of both the government and the citizens who can overcome the epidemic, the chief minister said. According to the health department official, the 59-year-old chief minister is currently in home isolation. In Manipur, 21,636 people have been infected with corona virus so far and out of these, 218 have died.
