Incessant rains create havoc in Arunachal

In Arunachal Pradesh, incessant torrential rain continues to create havoc in many parts of the state. In Itanagar Capital Complex Region, landslides triggered by heavy downpour has claimed 4 more lives at Modirijo Village. With this 8 people have lost their lives due to landslides in the state yesterday.

In East Siang District, power supply has been affected after an Electric Pole was washed away by the flooding water of Siku River. Power Supply to Mebo Subdivision and some parts of Lower Dibang Valley District has been affected. 

India Meteorological Department has issued a warning for heavy rainfall in the next two to three days in many parts of Arunachal Pradesh.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu has appealed to the people residing in vulnerable places to maintain extreme caution and move to safer places. He also urged people to travel with caution as rain-loosened soil may trigger landslides anytime.
