INFRASTRUCTURE WORKS IN KOCHUVELI YARD

REGULATION OF TRAINS

Kochuveli Railway Station will get a major infrastructure upgrade with the commissioning of two new platforms and a new train stabling line, for which the final stage works are scheduled from 01^st to 11^th December, 2022.

The infrastructure works carried out at a cost of Rs 39.57 crores also includes;

a) Extension of two existing Platforms (PFs 2 & 3) 53 metres,

b) Additional Platform shelters for PFs 2 & 3 (32 metres) & PFs 4 & 5 (64 metres), and

c) new signal and telecommunication facility & OFC hut.

On completion of the work, there will be six platforms and four stabling lines available for train operation at Kochuveli.

The following trains will be cancelled/rescheduled/diverted/regulated due to traffic regulations for construction works.

FULL CANCELLATION

01.   Train No. 06772 Kollam Junction – Kanniyakumari MEMU Express Special will be fully cancelled from 01^st to 11^th December 2022(11 days).

02.   Train No.06773 Kanniyakumari – Kollam Junction MEMU Express Special will be fully cancelled from 01^st to 11^th December 2022(11 days).

03.   Train No. 06429 Kochuveli – Nagercoil Junction Express Special will be fully cancelled from 01^st to 11^th December 2022(11 days).

04.   Train No. 06430 Nagercoil Junction – Kochuveli Express Special will be fully cancelled from 01^st to 11^th December 2022(11 days).

05.   Train No. 16350 Nilambur Road – Kochuveli Rajya Rani Express will be fully cancelled from 07^th to 12^th December 2022(6 days).

06.    Train No. 16349 Kochuveli – Nilambur Road Rajya Rani Express will be fully cancelled from 07^th to 12^th December 2022(6 days).

07.   Train No. 12202 Kochuveli – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Garib Rath Biweekly Express will be fullycancelled on 08^th and 11^th December 2022 (2 days).

08.   Train No. 12201 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Kochuveli Garib Rath Biweekly Express will be fullycancelled on 09^th and 12^th December 2022 (2 days).

09.   Train No. 16319 Kochuveli – SMVT Bengaluru Humsafar Biweekly Express will be fullycancelled on 08^th and 10^th December 2022 (2 days).

10.   Train No. 16320 SMVT Bengaluru – Kochuveli  Humsafar  Biweekly Express will be fullycancelled on 09^th and 11^th December 2022 (2 days).

11.   Train No. 16355 Kochuveli – Mangaluru Junction  Antyodaya Biweekly Express will be fullycancelled on 08^th and 10^th December 2022 (2 days).

13.   Train No. 16342 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Guruvayur Daily Intercity Express will be fully cancelled on 11^th December, 2022 (1 day).

14.   Train No. 16341 Guruvayur – Thiruvananthapuram Central Daily Intercity Express will be fully cancelled on 12^th December, 2022 (1 day).

15.   Train No. 06423 Kollam Junction – Thiruvananthapuram Central Unreserved  Express Special will be fullycancelled on 11^th December 2022 (1 day).

16.   Train No. 06426 Nagercoil Junction – Kollam Junction Unreserved Daily Express Special will be fullycancelled on 11^th December 2022 (1 day).

PARTIAL CANCELLATION

01.     Train No.20932 Indore Junction – Kochuveli Weekly Superfast leaving Indore Jn. on 29^th November, 2022 will be short terminated at Kollam Jn. ie. the train will be partially cancelled between Kollam Jn. and Kochuveli on 01^st December, 2022.

02.     Train No. 16350 Nilambur Road – Kochuveli Rajya Rani Express leaving Nilambur Rd. on 06^th December, 2022 will be short terminated at Kayamkulam Jn. ie. the train will be partially cancelled between Kayamkulam Jn.. and Kochuveli on 07^th December, 2022.

03.     Train No.12257 Yesvantpur Junction – Kochuveli Triweekly Garib Rath Express leaving Yeswantpur Jn. on 06^th and 08^th December 2022 will be short terminated at Kottayam. ie. the train will be partially cancelled between Kottayam and Kochuveli on 07^th and 09^th December 2022.

04.     Train No.12258 Kochuveli – Yesvantpur Junction Triweekly Garib Rath Express will commence service from Kottayam instead of Kochuveli on 07^th and 09^th December 2022. ie. the train will be partially cancelled between Kottayam and Kochuveli on 07^th and 09^th December 2022.

05.     Train No. 12777 SSS Huballi Junction – Kochuveli Weekly Superfast leaving SSS Hubballi Jn. on 07^th December, 2022 will be short terminated at Kottayam. ie. the train will be partially cancelled between Kottayam. and Kochuveli on 08^th December, 2022.

06.     Train No. 12778 Kochuveli – SSS Huballi Junction Weekly Superfast will commence service from Kottayam instead of Kochuveli on 08^th December, 2022. ie. the train will be partially cancelled between Kochuveli and Kottayam on 08^th December 2022.

07.     Train No. 19260 Bhavnagar Terminus – Kochuveli Weekly Express leaving Bhavnagar Term. on 06^th December, 2022 will be short terminated at Ernakulam Town. ie. the train will not run between Ernakulam Tn.. and Kochuveli 07/08^th December, 2022.

08.     Train No. 19259 Kochuveli – Bhavnagar Terminus Weekly Express will commence service from Ernakulam Town instead of Kochuveli on 08^th December, 2022 ie. the train will be partially cancelled between Ernakulam Tn.. and Kochuveli on 08^th December 2022.

09.     Train No. 22677 Yesvantpur Junction – Kochuveli AC Superfast leaving Yeswantpur Jn. on 08^th December, 2022 will be short terminated at Kottayam. ie. the train will be partially cancelled between Kottayam and Kochuveli on 09^th December 2022.

10.     Train No. 22678 Kochuveli – Yesvantpur Junction AC Superfast will commence service from Kottayam instead of Kochuveli on 09^th December, 2022 ie. the train will be partially cancelled between Kochuveli and Kottayam on 09^th December 2022.

11.     Train No. 12218 Chandigarh Junction – Kochuveli Biweekly Kerala Sampark Kranti Express leaving Chandigarh Jn. on 07^th and 09^th December 2022 will be short terminated at Alappuzha. ie. the train will be partially cancelled between Alappuzha and Kochuveli on 09^th and 11^th December 2022.

12.     Train No. 12217 Kochuveli – Chandigarh Junction Biweekly Kerala Sampark Kranti Express will commence service from Alappuzha instead of Kochuveli on 10^th and 12^th December 2022 ie. the train will be partially cancelled between Kochuveli and Alappuzha  on 10^th and 12^th December 2022.

13.     Train No. 20910 Porbandar – Kochuveli Weekly Superfast leaving Porbandar on 08^th December 2022 will be short terminated at Ernakulam Jn. ie. the train will be partially cancelled between Ernakulam Jn. and Kochuveli on 10^th December 2022.

14.     Train No. 20909 Kochuveli – Porbandar Weekly Superfast will commence service from Ernakulam Jn. instead of Kochuveli on 11^th December 2022 ie. the train will be partially cancelled between Kochuveli and Ernakulam Jn. on 11^th December 2022.

15.     Train No. 22627 Tiruchchirappalli Junction – Thiruvananthapuram Central Daily Intercity Express leaving Tiruchchirappalli Jn. on 11^th December 2022 will be short terminated at Tirunelveli Jn. ie. the train will be partially cancelled between Tirunelveli Jn. and Thiruvananthapuram Ctrl on 11^th December 2022.

16.     Train No. 22628 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Tiruchchirappalli Junction Daily Intercity Express will commence service from Tirunelveli Jn. instead of Thiruvananthapuram Ctrl. on 11^th December 2022 ie. the train will be partially cancelled between Thiruvananthapuram Ctrl and Tirunelveli Jn. on 11^th December 2022.

19.     Train No. 16346 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Daily Express will commence service from Varkala instead of Thiruvananthapuram Ctrl. on 11^th December, 2022. ie. the train will be partially cancelled between Thiruvananthapuram Ctrl. and Varkala on 11^th December 2022.

20.     Train No. 12082 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Kannur Janshatabdi Daily Express will commence service from Kollam Jn. instead of Thiruvananthapuram Ctrl. on 11^th December, 2022. ie. the train will be partially cancelled between Thiruvananthapuram Ctrl. and Kollam Jn. on 11^th December 2022.

21.     Train No. 12623 MGR Chennai Central – Thiruvananthapuram Central Daily Mail leaving MGR Chennai Ctrl. on 10^th December, 2022 will be short terminated at Kollam Jn. ie. the train will be partially cancelled between Kollam Jn. and Thiruvananthapuram Ctrl. on 11^th December 2022.

23.     Train No. 16723 Chennai Egmore – Kollam Junction Daily Ananthapuri Express leaving Chennai Egmore on 10^th December, 2022 will be short terminated at Thiruvananthapuram Ctrl. ie. the train will be partially cancelled between  Thiruvananthapuram Ctrl. and Kollam Jn. on 11^th December 2022.

24.     Train No. 16724 Kollam Junction – Chennai Egmore Daily Ananthapuri Express will commence service from Thiruvananthapuram Ctrl. instead of Kollam Jn. on 11^th December, 2022. ie. the train will be partially cancelled between Kollam Jn. and Thiruvananthapuram Ctrl. on 11^th December 2022.

25.     Train No. 12695 MGR Chennai Central – Thiruvananthapuram Central Daily Superfast leaving MGR Chennai Central on 10^th December, 2022 will be short terminated at Varkala. ie. the train will be partially cancelled between Varkala and Thiruvananthapuram Ctrl. on 11^th December 2022.

26.     Train No. 12696 Thiruvananthapuram Central – MGR Chennai Central Daily Superfast will commence service from Varkala instead of Thiruvananthapuram Ctrl. on 11^th December, 2022. ie. the train will be partially cancelled between Thiruvananthapuram Ctrl. and Varkala on 11^th December 2022.

27.     Train No. 16630 Mangaluru Central – Thiruvananthapuram Central Daily Malabar Express leaving Mangaluru Central on 10^th December, 2022 will be short terminated at Kazhakuttam. ie. the train will be partially cancelled between Kazhakuttom and Thiruvananthapuram Ctrl. on 11^th December 2022.

28.     Train No. 16629 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Mangaluru Central Daily Malabar Express will commence service from Kazhakuttam instead of Thiruvananthapuram Ctrl. on 11^th December, 2022. ie. the train will be partially cancelled between Thiruvananthapuram Ctrl. and Kazhakuttam on 11^th December 2022.

33.     Train No. 12511 Gorakhpur Junction – Kochuveli Raptisagar Triweekly Superfast leaving Gorakhpur Jn. on 08^th December, 2022 will be short terminated at Ernakulam Junction. 04.     Train No. 12659 Nagercoil Junction – Shalimar Gurudev Weekly Express leaving Nagercoil Jn. on 11^th December, 2022 will be diverted between Nagercoil Jn. and Palakkad Jn. to run via Tirunelveli Jn. – Madurai Jn. – Dindigul Jn. – Pollachi Jn. – Palakkad Jn. The train will skip its scheduled stoppages at Thiruvananthapuram Ctrl, Varkala Sivagiri, Kollam Jn, Kayamkulam Jn, Chengannur, Thiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva and Thrissur.

RESCHEDULING

01.     Train No. 20910 Porbandar – Kochuveli Weekly Express scheduled to leave Porbandar at 18.40 hrs. will be rescheduled to leave Porbandar at 20.10 hrs. (ie. 1 hour 30 minutes late) on 01^st December, 2022.

02.     Train No. 16312 Kochuveli – Shri Ganganagar Weekly Express scheduled to leave Kochuveli at 15.45 hrs. will be rescheduled to leave Kochuveli at 17.10 hrs. (ie. 1 hour 25 minutes late) on 03^rd December, 2022.

03.     Train No. 12258 Kochuveli – Yesvantpur Garib Rath Triweekly Express scheduled to leave Kochuveli at 17.00 hrs. will be rescheduled to leave Kochuveli at 18.00 hrs. (ie. 1 hour late) on 05^th December, 2022.

04.     Train No. 22648 Kochuveli – Korba Biweekly Superfast scheduled to leave Kochuveli at 06.15 hrs. will be rescheduled to leave Kochuveli at 07.45 hrs. (ie. 01 hour 30 minutes late) on 08^th December, 2022.

05.     Train No. 22646 Kochuveli – Indore Junction Ahilya Nagari Superfast scheduled to leave Kochuveli at 06.35 hrs. will be rescheduled to leave Kochuveli at 07.45 hrs. (ie. 01 hour 10 minutes late) on 10^th December, 2022.

06.     Train No. 12625 Thiruvananthapuram Central – New Delhi Kerala Daily Express scheduled to leave Thiruvananthapuram Ctrl. at 12.30 hrs. will be rescheduled to leave Thiruvananthapuram Ctrl. at 18.30 hrs. (ie. 06 hours late) on 11^th December, 2022.

07.     Train No. 06425 Kollam Junction – Thiruvananthapuram Central Unreserved Express scheduled to leave Kollam Jn. at 15.55 hrs. will be rescheduled to leave Kollam Jn. at 17.55 hrs. (ie. 02 hours late) on 11^th December, 2022.

08.     Train No. 06435 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Nagercoil Junction Unreserved Express scheduled to leave Thiruvananthapuram Ctrl. at 18.00 hrs. will be rescheduled to leave Thiruvananthapuram Ctrl. at 20.00 hrs. (ie. 02 hours late) on 11^th December, 2022.

DELAY

01.     Train No. 16366 Nagercoil Junction – Kottayam Daily Express leaving Nagercoil Jn. on 01^st, 02^nd and from 06^th to 10^th December 2022 will be regulated for 1 hour enroute in Nagercoil Jn. – Thiruvananthapuram Ctrl. section.

02.     Train No. 12511 Gorakhpur Junction – Kochuveli Raptisagar Triweekly Superfast leaving Gorakhpur Jn. on 02^nd December, 2022 will be regulated for 1 hour 10 minutes enroute on 05^th December, 2022.
