In line with Government of India’s Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat and Dekho Apna Desh to promote domestic tourism, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd. (IRCTC), a Government of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways has launched Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train Package during June 2023.
The much sought-after train tour connecting prominent leisure as well as cultural destinations “South Western Sojourn” by Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train is scheduled to commence its journey from Kochuveli on 17th June 2023.

The tour will be conducted by IRCTC from Kochuveli covering major tourist and cultural destinations in India, Mysore — Hampi — Shirdi – Shani Shingnapur – Nashik – Goa and back to Kochuveli.
Tourists can board the train from Kochuveli, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Thrissur, Ottappalam, Palakkad Jn., Podanur Jn., Erode Jn. & Salem Jn. and deboard from Mangalore Jn., Kannur, Kozhikode, Shoranur Jn., Thrissur, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Kollam & Kochuveli.
“SOUTH WESTERN SOJOURN” tour package is one of the prominent leisure tour packages operated by IRCTC on Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train. The leisure sojourn of 09 Nights and 10 Days will take tourists to once in a life time journey on the south western part of India.
The first halt destination of this train will be Mysuru where in tourists will visit St Filomina Church, Mysore Palace, Brindavan Garden, Chamundi Hills and Rail Museum. The next destination will be Hospet where tourists shall be visiting the historical sites of Hampi. After that the train proceeds to Shirdi. In Shirdi tourists will visit Shridi temple and Shani shingnapur.
Further, next halt of the train will be Nashik wherein Triambakeshwar and Panchwati will be covered. The last destination of the train will be Goa. Here tourist will visit Calangute Beach, Vagator, Basilica of Born Jesus, Se Cathedral. The train will finally return back to Kochuveli on 26* June 2023.
IRCTC welcomes tourists to visit the major tourist destinations of India on its beautiful LHB train which has Sleeper class and 3 Tier AC facility. The train has enhanced security features of CCTV cameras and Security Guards for each coach.
IRCTC has attractively priced the all-inclusive packages, at Rs. 18,350/- per person for Standard category on Sleeper Class, and Rs. 28,280/- for Comfort category on 3 Tier AC.
