Haflong : For Public safety an android application named “Janhitaaya’ developed by the IT cell of Dima Hasao Police was launched, Superintendent of Police Prashanta Saikia disclosed in press briefing held in his office on Monday.
Saikia also said the application developed under the leadership of Addl SP Pusparaj Sing IPS would benefit the public as well as police to solve various problems faced by the people dealing with social happenings.
The app will provide emergency contacts numbers of Dima Hasao District, along with awareness programs for the people of Dima Hasao.
Addressing the media Addl SP Sing said it would be very helpful for cyber crimes which had earlier a matter of concern. People would surely get immense help by using this app.
Right at the moment app would be providing Emergency Contacts of several emergency services like Police Stations, Disaster Management Service, Electricity Service, Reporting Online Fraud activity, Fire Service and Ambulance Service along with 1(one) SOS button(Instant Call) while in rush as well of course without the use of internet. Further, Awareness Program on Road Safety and Cyber Security part is also inbuilt in the app.”
