In Gujarat, independent MLA from Vadgam constituency Jignesh Mevani was suspended for the three-day session of State Assembly which began yesterday. During the discussion of celebrations of Constitution Day in the house, Mevani repeatedly passed comments directed towards the Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel.
Despite the warning by Speaker Rajendra Trivedi, Mevani also misbehaved in the house. Following the repeated disturbance in the house, the Speaker suspended him for the entire session of State Assembly.
