J&K: Income ceiling increased to avail reservation benefits

In Jammu and Kashmir, the income ceiling has been increased for people belonging to socially and economically backward classes to avail reservation benefits in employment and education. 

It has been raised from present from 4.5 lakh to 8 lakh rupees.

According to official sources in Jammu, the State Administrative Council under the chairmanship of Governor Satya Pal Malik in Jammu, approved the ceiling limit for availing benefits under the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Act, 2004.
