Gurgaon: KIIT World School, Sohna Road, hosted a comprehensive workshop to familiarize educators with the key provisions and practical implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The session aimed to enhance understanding among teachers about the transformative changes introduced by the policy.
The workshop featured insightful sessions by renowned experts Dr. Sneh Bansal, Assistant Professor at NCERT, and Anju Verma, a seasoned educationist and language expert. The duo emphasized the vision, guiding principles, and the pressing need for NEP 2020 in reshaping India’s education landscape.
A major focus of the workshop was the shift from rote learning to a more competency-based, skill-driven, and value-oriented approach. The experts highlighted the importance of learner-centric teaching methodologies, including self-assessment and peer evaluation, as key tools in fostering holistic development.
Educators were also introduced to innovative initiatives launched under NEP 2020, such as Jaadui Pitara, SAFAL, SQAA, and the Samagra Shiksha Report Card. The session also explored the CBSE microsite, equipping teachers with a range of digital resources to enrich their classroom practices.
