Mangaldai : Along with several other districts of the State, the second phase of distribution of land Pattas and allotment certificates to the landless beneficiaries has also begun in Darrang district on Monday . In a function organised here in the district library auditorium, State Minister for PHE Rihan Daimary and Rajyasabha MP Bhubaneswar Kalita in presence of both the BJP legislators of the district Gurujyoti Das and Binanda Kr Saikia, Deputy Commissioner Dilip Kumar Borah and other senior officials of the revenue department ceremonially launched the process for land Pattas to a total of 2319 beneficiaries while allotment certificates to 250. Addressing the beneficiaries Minister Daimary termed it to be a historical step of the BJP led State government which has helped the beneficiaries to enjoy the land right after a long time. However he warned them not to make any attempt to sell these alloted plots of land.
