Last rites of several martyred CRPF personnel performed with full state honours

The last rites of several CRPF personnel, who were martyred in Pulwama terror attack, were performed with full state honours at their native places across the country today. 

A large number of people from all walks of life bid a tearful adieu to their departed heroes.

In Uttar Pradesh, the martyrs were given last adieu with full state honour. Twelve of the martyrs hail from UP. The two martyred jawans of Uttarakhand were cremated in Haridwar and Khatima. 

In Bihar, the last rites of two martyred CRPF jawans were performed this evening on the banks of Ganga at Fatuha and Kahalgaon with full state honours. 

In Tamil Nadu, the last rites of the two CRPF martyrs of the Pulwama attack were held with state honours this evening.

The bodies of four martyrs hailing from the state and neighbouring Kerala and Karnataka were carried by a special aircraft first to Trichy Airport this morning. 

From Madurai Airport, the special aircraft flew to Kozhikode Airport in Kerala carrying the body of a Jawan from the state. 

The mortal remains of a martyr from Karnataka were transferred from the special flight at Trichy Airport to an IAF transport aircraft and sent to Bengaluru. 

The bodies of two martyred jawans from West Bengal have been flown to Kolkata. Later, they were taken to their native places.
