Bangalore : Gravity, a full-stack platform for premium home interior materials raised $15mn in a mix of equity and debt funding led by 3one4 Capital and Info Edge Ventures, with participation from Alteria Capital, Genesia Ventures and a group of notable angel investors including founders of investment funds, listed companies and leading startups.

Founded by former Livspace leaders Saurabh Jain and Lalit Mittal, Gravity is building common infrastructure for India’s interior materials ecosystem by bringing together specialist businesses across the kitchen and wardrobe segment with a shared technology, distribution, key-account management and operating backbone.

The company starts with businesses across the kitchen and wardrobe ecosystem, creating a multi-hundred-crore revenue base and positive EBITDA from day one. Over time, Gravity plans to expand into a broader set of interior systems including doors and windows, lighting, wall surfaces, home automation and adjacent categories, while continuing to build on the same customer relationships and operating infrastructure.

Gravity’s vision is rooted in a structural shift underway in India’s home interiors market. While designers, architects, modular showrooms and design-and-build studios increasingly influence material decisions, the supply landscape remains fragmented across dealers, distributors and single-category suppliers. Gravity aims to simplify sourcing for these customers while improving availability, service levels, fulfilment and pricing visibility across categories.

The capital will be used to strengthen Gravity’s technology, distribution and key-account infrastructure, support category expansion, build brand capabilities and provide the working capital needed to scale the platform over time.

Saurabh and Lalit bring deep operating experience from India’s organised home interiors market. Saurabh previously served as CEO India at Livspace and helped scale the business to an annualised revenue run rate of approximately INR 1,500 crore. Lalit served as Chief Business Officer India and led Livspace’s expansion across 30 cities, overseeing regional P&Ls and city-level operating systems.

Saurabh Jain, Co-founder, Gravity, said, “Over the last decade, organised design and execution have transformed the home interiors market. However, the materials layer behind every project remains fragmented and complex. Designers, studios and suppliers continue to navigate multiple stakeholders, systems and processes to get projects delivered. We are building Gravity to make sourcing simpler, more dependable and more efficient through a platform designed around the needs of the industry. Our focus is to combine product depth with strong service, availability and execution at scale.”

Lalit Mittal, Co-founder, Gravity, added, “Designers and studios today influence a significant share of material decisions, yet managing sourcing across categories remains time-consuming and operationally challenging. Gravity brings together common capabilities across technology, distribution, procurement and customer service, enabling a better experience for both category businesses and specifiers. Over time, we aim to become a trusted operating partner across a wider set of interior material categories.”

Anand Batra, Investments Team, 3one4 Capital, said, “India’s premium interior materials market has scaled without a corresponding improvement in how specifiers source and manage materials. Saurabh and Lalit have operated inside this ecosystem at scale and understand both the customer and the supply gaps. Gravity brings category ownership, distribution and technology together in one model, creating a differentiated way to serve the same studio across multiple material systems. We are pleased to partner with them from the start.”

Kitty Agarwal, Partner, Info Edge Ventures, said, “Designers, studios and modular players increasingly influence the material decision, but the supply base they buy from remains highly fragmented. Gravity is building around this mismatch. The team starts with operating businesses, existing customer relationships and an EBITDA-positive base, while creating a common layer across distribution, key accounts and technology. We believe that combination can support a much broader interior materials platform over time.”

India’s home interiors market is estimated at approximately INR 3.5 lakh crore / $ 35bn, with a design-specified material pool of roughly INR 1.5 lakh crore / $15bn . Gravity’s initial focus is the material wallet controlled by design-and-build studios and modular showrooms, a customer base that sits close to product discovery, specification and procurement decisions.

Over time, Gravity plans to expand beyond kitchens and wardrobes into adjacent interior systems, leveraging its shared operating infrastructure to serve a wider set of material categories and strengthen its role within India’s growing home interiors ecosystem.
