In Ladakh, Kargil received light rain and snowfall after regular interval and due to which the temperature dipped to -3.1 and remained the coldest place in both Union Territories of Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir.
This snowfall and drop in temperature has raised the demand for heaters weather it be Electic heater, Kerosene or traditional Woof Heater (Bukhari) as well as Traditional Wood Chullahs.
Haji Shujat Ali of Shuja Furniture’s Kargil the oldest Industrial Unit of Kargil told that people are demanding heating appliances according to their need and status. He further told that he has Modernized Chulah which he sells at 10,000 rupees per piece and Wooden Bukhari for 4,000 rupees and repaired or modified existing Bukhari’s at 2,500 rupees and he has a good season.
Meanwhile, the NH 1D Connecting UT Ladakh with UT J&K once again closed and Traffic Police Personnel and Executive Personnel are working Day and Night at Zojjila to clear the Traffic and are doing tremendous Job.
