Conceptually there are three elements in the book – Middle of the Diamond India, Udyamitaand a new modernity that will spark a renaissance. Middle of the Diamond announces that Prahalad’s pyramid is outdated. 800 million are neither rich nor poor and form the Middle of the Diamond. This India is rising, and it has to be enabled. It has to create and build, not just consume and vote. It has enormous energy, and across class, caste and creed can create a new Bharat as it rises.

“The book is based on the idea of including the hitherto ignored talent of the smaller cities to start an entrepreneurial revolution in India. The author has citied real-life anecdotes, and experiences to prove that promotion of Udyamita in smaller towns during the Amrit Kaal could make Aatmnirbhar Bharat a reality.

Middle of Diamond India proposes a revolutionary idea of inclusion of India’s largest and most talented segment that has been ignored -citizens in the Tier 2 and Tier 3 districts, that is, India’s Middle. The book reveals the hidden stories of those in its Middle who have been ignored owing to their location and language. By examining India’s revolutionary past, its culture, citizens, innovators, and its spirit, the book illuminates this Diamond shaped India. Citing an enterprise ecosystem established in UP’s Deoria District, the book argues for a modern India created by recognizing and awakening the entrepreneurial vitality of those in small towns and districts. It proposes a Banyan Revolution over the coming twenty-five years of AmritKaal, using the tool of enterprise or Udyamita to ignite a national renaissance.
