CAPE TOWN, South Africa: VUKA Group’s Mining Elites in Africa will host its first-ever live awards ceremony in 2027, bringing the continent’s leading mining companies, projects, leaders and innovators together at Investing in African Mining Indaba (Mining Indaba) in February.

The landmark ceremony forms part of the 2027 Mining Elites in Africa Yearbook (https://apo-opa.co/4ylpNWZ) and is produced by Mining Review Africa in partnership with Mining Indaba. The partnership brings together two influential platforms to celebrate the people, projects, technologies and ESG initiatives shaping the future of African mining.

For the first time, winners across the Mining Elites categories will be formally recognised on stage and presented with awards during a live ceremony at Mining Indaba. Sponsors will benefit from prominent brand visibility throughout the event, including logo placement on screen and dedicated recognition during the ceremony.

Mining beyond tomorrow

Under the theme “Mining beyond tomorrow”, the 2027 Mining Elites in Africa Yearbook will continue to showcase excellence, leadership and innovation across the continent’s mining sector.

Category sponsorship offers organisations an opportunity to:

Position their brand alongside leading mining companies, projects and award winners

Align their organisation with a category that reflects their expertise and contribution to the industry

Gain print, digital, social media and event exposure throughout the year

Increase visibility among key mining decision-makers in Africa and internationally

Benefit from enhanced exposure through the new live awards ceremony at Mining Indaba

The yearbook will be distributed at leading industry events throughout the year, including Mining Indaba, Enlit Africa, Junior Indaba, Nigeria Mining Week, DRC Mining Week, Africa Down Under, Joburg Indaba, Zimbabwe Mining Week and Resourcing Tomorrow. This will be supported by year-round digital and social media exposure through Mining Review Africa’s platforms.

The addition of a live awards ceremony, together with the Mining Elites partnership with Mining Indaba, will give category sponsors an expanded platform to connect their brands with the people and organisations driving African mining forward.

We encourage companies to secure their preferred category early to maximise exposure and position their brands alongside the leaders, projects and technologies setting the pace for the next chapter of African mining.
